Wisconsin DOT Written Test Requirements

There are 50 questions on the WI DOT written test. You will need to answer at least 40 questions correctly to pass (80%).

The driver’s license knowledge test is based on the information you will find in the driver’s manual.

After Passing the Written Test

If you have never received a license before, you will receive a learner’s permit after passing the written test. The amount of time you will need to hold the learning permit will depend on your age.
