Oregon DMV Written Test Requirements

The DMV written test for you Oregon driver’s license contains 35 total questions. The questions are based on the information you will find in the OR DOT driver’s manual.

To pass the test, you will need to answer at least 28 questions correctly (80%).

After Passing the Written Exam

If you are at least 18 years old, you can take your driving test and receive your driver’s license after passing the written test.

If you are under 18 years of age, you can obtain a learner’s permit once you pass the written OR DOT test. The learners permit will allow you to practice driving with a licensed adult who is at least 21 years old.
