Alaska DMV Written Test Requirements

There are 20 questions in total about the Alaska DMV written test.

To pass, you will need to answer at least 16 questions correctly (80%).

The questions will be based on the information found in the driver’s manual and will cover topics such as traffic laws, driving safety rules and traffic signs and signals.

After Passing the Written Driver’s License Test in Alaska

If you are under 18 years of age, you may receive a learner’s permit after passing the written AK test.

If you are over 18 years of age, you will be able to take your road test after passing the written test in order to receive a standard, unrestricted driver’s license.
