The Tanker Test consists of 20 questions. The HAZMAT test consists of 30 questions. You’ll need to score an 80% on both of these tests to pass.
Who needs to take the Tanker HAZMAT written test?
The Tanker and HAZMAT written knowledge tests are required for CDL holders who want to transport hazardous materials in a tanker vehicle.
Passing both tests gets you the combination Tanker/HAZMAT (X) Endorsement added to your CDL.
